The $167.63 spent for 3 nights at the Hilton Tuscany was definitely worth our 1 Day of Fun at the Epcot Center. I smile as I type thinking about the lasting memory of this day shared with my son. It was one of the chilliest days in Florida but that did not stop the fun. My mother traveled with us on this road trip. She is not up for amusement parks but she likes to visit shops and restaurants. We started our day with a big breakfast at Flapjack Johnny's. Evelyn is an awesome waitress. Her mom works their as well and they both have super customer service. So much so that we returned again on Sunday for lunch.
After breakfast I took my mom back to the hotel to relax, and my son and I headed to Disney. We made it there at about 12:30. The goal was to get into the park to be able to join the que at 1:00 for the new ride Guardians of the Galaxy. Our day was nonstop. It was the best 21,000 steps ever! We went on rides, saw a few shows, and ate plenty. The tip board in the Disney App is so helpful. The suggestions for the day made a perfect itinerary. Make your dinner reservations early. I forgot to do this and top pick was booked of course. We were there during the International Festival of Arts, so there was so much food to choose from at stands as you walked around the park. There were small plates inspired by the various countries, tasty deserts, and delicious cider, especially the Black Cherry. Our top three attractions were the Disney Pixar Short Films, the Chevrolet Test Track, and the Guardians of the Galaxy (It was worth the wait!!) Our group's number was called at the end of the day. It ended just in time for us to make it to the Fireworks Show. This show was spectacular and definitely a Grand Finale!
