Hilton Grand Vacations-Tuscany Village

We woke up this morning, after a night of storms.  Schools are cancelled today.  We were planning to leave after school, but we got an earlier start.  Prayers go out to people in our nearby communities as we drove by houses with trees on top of the roofs.  It is about a 6-hour drive to Orlando from GA.

When you arrive, it is a gated resort.  There are gates for people who have already checked in and a line for those who are just arriving.  You pull up and the person asks for your name, and they alert the front desk that you have arrived.  While in line someone greets you and gives you your parking pass, if needed.

Charity checked me in. She was welcoming.  My stay was paid for in advance as a part of my presentation/tour.  100.00 is put on a credit card for incidentals.  My tour is not until Sunday at another property.  I appreciate that I will have the full Saturday to enjoy for myself.  A welcome text message is sent as well.  This is the preferred way to communicate if you need to request anything for the quickest response.

I am pleased with our one bedroom villa.  I am looking forward to sitting on my balcony, drinking a cup of coffee in the morning.  You have access to the balcony from the living room and bedroom.

It was chillier than usual and windy, in the 50s, so the poolside movie was cancelled. We headed to dinner at Ford’s Garage, very close to the hotel (walking distance), in the premium outlet shopping center.  Do not order the “Fordrita”.  My glass was filled to the rim with ice and two big sips of drink.  However, the Cigar City Cider Mead Homemade Apple was delicious!  My son enjoyed his wings.  My mom and I thought our food was descent as well.  The chocolate cake is delicious.  Eating on the heated patio is a cool spot to watch the games.  We watched Golden State vs. San Antonio while we ate our meals.

Tomorrow we head to Epcot Center. 50 year celebration, here we come!!
